Artsplosure – The Raleigh Arts Festival will be returning May 15 - 16, 2026. The two day event will feature an Art Market of approximately 175 juried visual artists from across the United States showcasing works in ceramics, fiber art, glass, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, wood and more.

WGNC is pleased to support this event. It is great exposure for member/artists to display and sell their artwork. WGNC will also provide live woodturning demonstrations. These demonstrations are a fabulous way to connect with people who are interested or just curious about woodturning. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and chat, ask questions and watch members in action doing what they love to do, woodturning!

WGNC is now looking for member/artists who are interested in working in the booth and to show and sell their work. There will be one full day slot available on Saturday and one full day slot on Sunday. The cost to exhibit/sell will be $25 for each slot. Funds will be used to defray the cost of the booth rental. In addition, participants signing up for the Saturday slots will need to help setup the booth on Saturday morning. Those who signup for the Sunday slots will need to help break down the booth at shows end.

In addition, WGNC will have a demonstration area in the booth where members can volunteer to turn smaller projects. The demonstration area is intended to draw visitors into the booth area so they can see how items are turned and interact directly with the person turning. There will be four half day slots open to volunteers. There will be morning and afternoon slots both Saturday and Sunday. Demonstration slots will be free of charge and restricted to demonstrating only.
