About the Symposium:
Every two years chapters of North Carolina Clubs combine to present this powerhouse woodturning event. Alternating years with neighboring Virginia's symposium, the North Carolina Woodturning Symposium presents an opportunity for woodturners throughout the Carolinas and nearby states to learn from top-tier presenters, meet fellow woodturners, and see the latest wares from leading vendors.
It's a not-to-be-missed event for woodturners in this region.
The NCWTS is a collective of eight AAW chapters in NC. Each chapter provides volunteers to organize and put on the show. Part of the volunteer activities that are needed are the manning of the demonstration rotation rooms. Each chapter is assigned a room and they become responsible for the activities taking place in that room. One of the more important activities is running the video equipment for each of the demonstrator rotations that take place during the day.
For 2025 WGNC has been assigned Room 1B and will be responsible for eight rotations, 2 on Friday, 4 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. The current demonstrator/demonstration schedule for the WGNC room is shown below.
